It was a tight fought match which could have gone either way with the Walden pair 2 up through 6 holes. The St Neots pair however hit back with birdies at 10 and 14 and some excellent pars to take control on the back nine and came through as winners by 3 & 2.
The St Neots club have had an outstanding season, winning the Scratch League, the Championship Shield and the Goddard Cup led by scratch team captain Danny who himself has also won the Hunstanton Bowl.
This coming Sunday he could cap it off with another trophy when he faces the County Champion James McLaughlin of Ely City in the final of the Wheeler Salver.
