Capt Craig slots home 7 birdies to win Winter series 1

In ideal conditions ,the first Winter Series got under way at St Ives Golf Club last Sunday. The course was receptive to good scoring and this showed by the County golfers.

Craig Thorburn, the new county captain, reigned supreme slotting home 7 birdies in a gross 66. Luke Ryan was second with a 67 which unfortunately included a double bogey on the last hole. In third place was Paul Hodgkin who following the low scoring of other players followed in with 6 birdies for a 69.

In the U21 category George Whitehall triumphed with a 72 gross. This was closely followed by Jake Plumb, Josh Hulyer and Jack Roe who all scored 74 gross.
