Both Theo and Sam managed a great home stretch to level both matches and take good half points against the Essex pair of Henry Linley and William Bailey.

The next match saw the CAGU pair of Harry Howell and Rohan Neat away in their single matches against Jamie Sach and Charlie Rusbridge respectably.

This match swung back and forth early on, but the Essex pair both managed to edge clear in their matches on the back 9 to win 3 & 2 in both cases but, excellent golf was played by all four players.

Last group out for CAGU had the pair of Joe Austin and Harry Sherriff up against Teddy Ralson and Milo Locke for Essex, an even front 9 with the Cagu pair both putting great back 9’s to take both matches 4&3 for Austin and 2&1 for Sherriff.

The U14 matches had honours even, tied at 2 wins / 2 draws / 2 losses each.

CAGU 2 vs Essex 2

The U12 matches followed on from the u14s but, followed a different format with 9 holes greensomes followed by 9 holes singles on the back 9, giving all players two bites at the cherry.

Leading the way for CAGU where the pair of Ellis Kerr and Lewis Karim who were up against a pairing of William Wright and Alfie Dorrington, the grensomes went to the wire with a loss on the 9th for Cambridge to go 2 down.

The middle pairing of Matthew Russell and Aryan Alwala were not much bigger than the trolleys they pushed!, but were little diamonds playing some great golf to take the win against older opposition in Hayden Norman and Josh Nanson 3&2

The final pairing of Jack Sherriff and Oliver Houseden, also new to county golf and of a young age didn’t let that phase them as they started a little slow to win the last 3 holes against Harry Tedder and Charles Bredger to take it 1 up on the 9th, great effort boys.
