The match held at Diss on Sunday 2nd June
We started with a loss then a win a loss and finally another win in the morning. Our youngest team Sam and Harry both won their morning and the afternoon matches. Harry kept his cool against a very experienced player and their captain. Sam just set out to win and that he did very convincingly!
Matt Hartley, who is a very experienced player won his game but had to call upon his vast knowledge to do so. Ben McNeill put in a good performance as his first time out this year for the B team. Ben, Tom , Craig and Josh played well but the other team had the home advantage which gave them the edge in the end.
Lastly Andy Grimwood had another battle in the singles and I thought he was going to come back again from 3 down, but with a very difficult chip into the 18th green from a poor lie, couldn’t finish to take the half.
We Lost 7 and 5.
